Tons of fish die in Al Hammar Marshes due to high temp

Nasiriya (NINA) – Agriculture Department in Chibayish District-Thi Qar Province announced the death of tons of fish in Hammar Marshes which takes its water from Al Massab Al Aam due to the high temperatures and the low oxygen in the water.

Manager of the department, Reysan Jaber, told NINA correspondent “the high temperatures, low water levels, water colour and taste change, and the low oxygen rate in water caused the death of different kinds of fish in the marshes.” /End/
