Donga inks marketing, distribution tie-up with Bayer


SEOUL, Aug. 16 (Yonhap) -- Donga Pharmaceutical Co., South Korea's largest drug manufacturer, said Tuesday that it has established a marketing and distribution partnership arrangement with Bayer Korea Ltd.
Under the deal, Donga will be in charge of selling Bayer drugs using its extensive domestic distribution network, with the Germany-based pharmaceutical company being responsible for marketing efforts.
Drugs that will be sold through Donga include such products as Aspirin Protect; Myvlar, an oral contraceptive; Berocca vitamin tablets; and Bepanthol lip cream.
The South Korean company said that the partnership is a win-win deal for all sides that can lower costs and enhance competitiveness.
Bayer also said that working with Donga can solidify its presence in the key Asian market.
