Korean co invests over 400 bln kip in electrical material production
VIENTIANE,AUG.(KPL) Korean company Daekwang Engineering has decided to invest over 400 billion kip in building an electrical material factory in Dongphosy village, Hathsayfong district.
The agreement on the factory construction was signed in Vientiane Capital on August 24, between Acting Director of the Electricity Construction and Installation Enterprise, Mr. Amphone Phommachanh and Daekwang Engineering President, Mr. Seung Jae Jung.
Office Head of Ministry of Energy and Mining, Dr Bountheung Phengthavongsa and relevant officials of both sides witnessed the signing.
The factory is designed to manufacture switchgears, transformers and cables to sell domestically and export, mainly to the Republic of Korea and Japan.
The construction of the factory will commence early 2012 and complete within six months.
