PREMIER RECEIVES CANADIAN MINISTER

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ On Friday, August 25, the Prime Minister S.Batbold received a delegation headed by Mrs. Bev Oda, the Minister for International Cooperation of Canada.
The Premier thanked the Canadian delegation for paying a visit to Mongolia, and highlighted Canada is one of the Third neighbors of Mongolia as well as the second biggest partner country at the investment sector. "Mongolia is a reliable partner of Canada in Asia, and we consider Canada as a model country for development," the Premier said.
Mentioning Mongolia is studying experiences of Canada in a reform of the public service, the Premier expressed gratitude to the Canadian Council of Public Service for rendering assistance and implementing some projects on improving the public service of Mongolia. Moreover, S.Batbold underlined the two countries have an opportunity to develop cooperation in the sectors of agriculture, light industry, construction and environment, and then hoped the sides would expand the relations and cooperation and intensify the bilateral talks on protection of external investments, during an upcoming intergovernmental round table meeting to be held September, 2011.
Mrs. Oda expressed her thanks to the Prime Minister for an audience in her turn. Then, she said Canada has a willingness to collaborate with Mongolia in strengthening the public service within the bilateral cooperation. Mrs. Oda also said Canada highly appreciated Mongolia for significant contribution to supporting democracy.
