Bodies of civilians killed by Gaddafi forces found in Tripoli

ANKARA (A.A) - August 29, 2011 - Burnt down bodies of 150 Libyan civilians, believed to have been killed by Gaddafi forces, have been found in capital Tripoli.
Eye witnesses, who managed to escape the tragedy in a residential unit located 50 km away from the center of the Libyan capital, told AA that they had heard Gaddafi troops shooting civilians with automatic weapons and later seen the buildings set on fire.
Bashir Own, a member of the dissident forces who arrived at the scene of the incident to pick up the bodies, said that civilians at the residential unit had been killed as they had been carrying the Libyan flag and chanting anti-Gaddafi slogans.
Telling the AA reporter about the bodies found in kneeling position, Own said, "It is inhumane to kill unarmed people like that. Gaddafi is responsible for this and he is evil".
Own noted that the murdered civilians would be laid to rest according to Islamic rules, however, what had happened in that residential area would never be forgotten.
