American team arrives in Halabja to pick up chemical missile
Sulaymaniya (NINA) – A specialized American team arrived in the city of Halabja-Sulaymaniya Province to pick up the chemical missile that was found in the city a few days ago.
Koran Adham, Manager of Halabja District, told NINA “the team arrived this morning coming from the American base in Tikrit and supported by helicopters to pick up the missile that is supposed to be a remnant of the chemical assault against the city which was conducted by the former army back on 1988.”
Eyewitnesses mentioned that many American helicopters were seen this morning in Halabja skies.
Halabja was attacked by chemical bombs on 1988 by the former Iraqi army, killing about 5000 of its people. Unexploded chemical missile was found a few days ago in the nearby areas.
