Sinjar manager: locals of Sinjar intend launching demonstrations during funeral of the Ezidi citizen killed by the security forces

Mosul (NINA) – Manager of the Sinjar District, Muyasar Haji Salih, said the locals of the Sinjar District intend to launch demonstrations during the funeral of the Ezidi citizen killed by the security forces northwest Mosul.

He told NINA “the locals intend to launch the demonstrations tomorrow during the funeral of Elias Badal who was killed by security forces coming from Mosul which raided his house late last night.”

Salih explained that the house that was raided is for a peaceful Ezidi sect. family who has nothing to do with terror, pointing out that “the entrance and raid operations were done without informing the local admin of the Sinjar District or its security forces, not even the parties. Everyone was surprised by the operation.”

A unit of the Rapid Response Force raided a house of the Ezidi sect in Sinjar, killing one of them, injuring the other, and arresting the third.
