'Nagorno-Karabakh is not recognized as independent by any country in the world, including the US’

Baku, September 20 (AzerTAc). “Nagorno-Karabakh is not recognized as independent by any country in the world, including the United States,” official of the State Department`s press service told AzerTAc correspondent commenting on the September 18 “municipal elections” held by the separatist regime in Nagorno Karabakh.
The diplomat said “the so-called elections held in Nagorno-Karabakh should not preempt the final legal status of Nagorno-Karabakh within the broader framework of a negotiated peaceful settlement to the conflict. We remain committed to working with the parties as a Co-Chair of the OSCE Minsk Group to achieve a lasting and peaceful settlement to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict based upon the principles of the Helsinki Final Act, including the non-use or threat of force, territorial integrity, and self-determination and equal rights of peoples.”
