Victims caused by the fire in the gas isolation station in Rumaila oilfield

Basra (NINA) – A source in the gas isolation station in the southern Rumaila oilfield announced that the fire left casualties in the station today.

The source told NINA that “the fire was caused by technicians who were carrying out maintenance on a pipeline, causing lots of suffocation cases and victims, declining to state the number of victims.”

He added that the civil defense teams of the nearby companies are helping the Basra civil defense teams to put off the fire and control it.”
