Demo held in Tehran in support of Egyptian students
TEHRAN, Sept. 21 (MNA) – A number of students from universities across Tehran held a demonstration on Tuesday to express their solidarity with the students of the American University in Cairo (AUC) who pulled the flag of the United States down on September 15.
The demonstration was held outside the former U.S. Embassy in Tehran, which was called the Den of Spies.
The demonstrators chanted slogans in support of the Egyptian people and chanted “Down with the United States,” “Death to Israel,” and “Down with Britain”.
They also set the flag of the United States on fire.
At the end of the demonstration, a statement was issued in which the demonstrators called on the Egyptian students to remain vigilant about the intrigues devised by enemies.
