Baku hosts seminar on Food Security Monitoring Systems
Baku, September 21 (AzerTAc). A two-day seminar on presentation and implementation of Food Security Monitoring Systems has today started in Azerbaijan`s capital. The event is organized by the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP).
Attending the seminar, Azerbaijani Deputy Prime Minister, chairman of the State Committee on Refugees and IDPs Ali Hasanov, UN resident-coordinator in Azerbaijan Fikret Akchura, head of UN WFP representative office Fuad Huseynov noted the importance of the event.
The participants exchanged views on Food Security Monitoring Systems, experiences in relevant sphere in various countries, implementation of these systems in Azerbaijan and other issues.
WFP experts, representatives of relevant ministries and state committees are attending the seminar.
