National Accord Movement expresses its worry over “failures in achieving national partnership”

Baghdad (NINA) – National Accord Movement, headed by Dr. Iyad Allawi, expressed its worry over what described “failures in achieving national partnership and the security violations as well as violence.”

The Movement’s official Spokesman, Hadi Wali, said in a statement issued after a meeting of the Central Committee of the NAM today presided over by Allawi and present by the Movement’s cadres “the meeting noted with extreme worry the failures in achieving the national partnership and the security violations and violence, a thing that poses serious threat, expressing grief for the number of innocent casualties.”

He added that “the bad services were tackled in addition to the economic conditions. The conferees decided to discuss the SOFA reached with the US in light of the statement given by the Iraqi Premier refusing to renew it altogether.”

He referred that “the committee asked to form a political committee to discuss the deteriorating conditions all over Iraq, such as the central and Kurdistan governments’ relations, tensions in provinces, stressing the necessity of adopting political solution away from unilateral decisions in service of Iraq’s interests.”

Wali mentioned that “the leaders of the Movement expressed resentment over the absence of national partnership and their belief that the parliament is the only place to solve such differences.” /End/
