PRESIDENT WELCOMES SLOVAKIAN COUNTERPART

Jakarta, Oct 10 (ANTARA) - President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono was scheduled to receive his Slovakian counterpart Ivan Gasparovic who is making a four-day official visit to Indonesia.

The official welcoming ceremony would be held at the Merdeka Palace terrace, here on Monday, at 10.00 am, and would be followed by bilateral meetings between delegations of Slovakia and Indonesia.

President Yudhoyono and President Gasparovic would hold a joint press conference followed by a state luncheon afterward.

During his stay in Indonesia, President Gasparovic will meet with House Speaker Marzuki Alie, and attend the fifth Slovakian-Indonesia business forum.

Besides, Gasparovic was also scheduled to visit the Indonesian National Museum and the Heroes Cemetery in Kalibata, South Jakarta.

On Tuesday, October 11, 2011 Gasparovic is expected to visit the silverware centers in Jogjakarta and attend a dinner to be hosted by the King of Yogjakarta, Sultan Hamengkubuwono X, at the Sultanate Palace.

The 70-year-old Slovak President plans to visit Mount Merapi which was erupted in November 2011, and the Borobudur temple in Magelang, Central Java.

Slovakian Economic Minister Juraj Miskov and several lawmakers are among members of the president`s entourage during the visit to Indonesia.

President Ivan Gasparovic and his entourage will leave Indonesia on Wednesday, October 12, 2011, for the Philippines.
