Turkish ex-president: Azerbaijan develops under President Ilham Aliyev’s leadership

Azerbaijan has today become a strong member of the international community with an even greater potential for the future, Former Turkish President Suleyman Demirel has today stated at the International Humanitarian Forum on the "XXI century: hopes and challenges" started in Gulustan palace, in Baku.
"Indeed, it is most gratifying to see Azerbaijan to climb up to the steep ladder of the development and stability in a resolute and confident manner under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev," he said.
Demirel expressed pleasure for participation in the forum and the opportunity to address the distinguished audience.
"So far there have been thousands of meetings about what the 21st century has in store for us. But, only were of this humanitarian dimension," he said. "I would like to commend the organizers of this meting, which rightly put the focus on the humanitarian aspect of the new challenges of the 21st century."
Turkey and Azerbaijan have excellent relations in every field from economy to culture, from energy to transportation. "In that sense, I feel the most satisfied see that what you have started 20 years ago has served as a strong foundation to these relations," he said.
The forum is bringing together the public and political figures, workers of culture and art, heads of the authoritative mass media. The two-day forum is initiated by Presidents, Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan and Dmitry Medvedev of Russia.
Discussions on the subjects "Humanitarian aspects of economic models of development", "Modem technologies that changed the world", "Traditional values system in postmodern culture", "Biotechiologies and ethical problems", "Multiculturalism: achievements and problems", "Social journalism and high technologies", "Convergence of sciences" will be held in seven panels within the forum.
