SOME 2,597 DISASTERS AND ACCIDENTS OCCURED

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ In the first nine months of 2011, there were 2,597 disasters and accidents.
Due to them, 179 people died, 165.4 thousand heads of livestock and domestic animals were lost.
Meanwhile, there were 2,196 object fires, 18 accidents related to artisanal mining and rock falls, 40 cases of domestic animal madness disease, 79 river and lake accidents. Estimated damage caused by these disasters and accidents reached 3.5 billion togrog.
