Prime Minister of RK visits West Kazakhstan region

Uralsk, 8 December 2008, (Khabar) - The head of the government Karim Massimov has visited the West Kazakhstan region. His visit started with a trip to Terekty region which was damadged by an earthquake. On the 26th of April this year in the Rybtsekh village suffered an earthquake of magnitude 5-6 which destroyed over 100 houses. The Shalkar basic school building which was founded in 1959, was found in a poor condition. The regional administration is making a decision about resettling the villagers to other parts of the country. During the whole summertime the villages of Saryomir and Ankanty, which are located on the shore of the Shalkar Lake, the construction of housing for victims took place and it was finally completed in the autumn. The project consists of 41 flats and was constructed with the help of both the national budget and sponsor funds. Karim Massimov has also visited the construction process of the water supply system in the Saryomir village. 177 million tenge was allocated for the implementation of this project.

- Today I have examined a number of issues connected with the mission of the President on the stabilization of the economy and I believe that these issues have been carried out successfully. Problems connected with prices on foodstuffs and fuel were solved.

The prime minister participated in the opening ceremonies of schools in Podstepnoye village in the Terektinskiy region and in the Zashagan district in Uralsk. The heads of the regional educational department said that 763 million tenge were allocated among the “100 schools” programme and 91% of this money has already been used. Due to money from the local budget, 66 schools of the region were restored. Uralsk marked the opening of the “Zhuldyzai” kindergarten with 280 places where children will be able to learn the Kazakh language. Prime minister Karim Massimov was shown 75 new flats and houses and was informed of the realization of the state housing programme. The allocation of 7 billion tenge from the republic’s budget helped to provide 8 thousand people with housing accomodation. In future Uralsk will see the construction of a clinic with 500 places and a new school. With the new capacity of the “CV plus” company, that was launched at Uralsk, will allow the manufacture of 12 thousand cubic metres of ferroconcrete products. Finally, at the new building of the West Kazakhstan branch of “Nur Otan” party, the head of government met members of the “Atameken” national and economic chamber.
