Demographical crisis doesn’t threaten to Kazakhstan

Almaty, 02 January 2008, (Khabar) - 36 000 babies were born in Almaty in 2008. Maternity hospitals were full of pregnant women. Demographers say the number of born babies will increase in 2009. In this large Kazakh family traditions are respected. They gather together for New Year, cook baursaks and besbarmak and sing songs. Almost every year babies are born in this family. The head of the family, Kamash Seitzhanova has 20 children, 28 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. And this year Kamash great granddaughter and Muratali great grandson were born. According to the tradition, babies will be also born this year.

Kamash Seitzhanova, hero-mother:
- Our family is like a small country. My children, grandchildren and great grandchildren are my pride and my wealth. I am already 70 but feel myself young because my children pamper and take care of me. That’s why I advice all women to have many children.

The demographers say Almaty is city-champion on birth rate as baby-boom here reached large scales. For example, over 4000 babies were born in one of Almaty maternity hospitals. Then Astana and Atyrau follow after Almaty.

Nadezhda Kobzar, chief gynecologist- obstetrician of healthcare department of Almaty:
- According to the results of 11 months in comparison with the same period of 2007, number of child birth increased to almost 13% and this year we plan 36 000. Last year 32 000 and every year number of child birth is increased to 4000.

Population density of planet will increase up to 8 billion by 2050 and it seems Kazakhstan will contribute into it.
