Dubai Airports tightens screening for swine flu

Dubai Airports said it is working very closely with the Department of Health to prevent the entry of swine flu (H1N1 influenza).
As part of the preventive measures thermal imaging cameras have been installed at Dubai International for screening passengers arriving from affected areas. "All screenings (of passengers for swine flu) done over the weekend were normal", it said in a press release.
Airlines have been requested by Dubai Airports to inform passengers onboard of the screening at Dubai International and assure them of the expert medical care that will be available at hand if required.
If any suspected cases are identified, they will be transported to Airport Medical Centre for further tests and handled accordingly.
Airlines have been urged to announce minors onboard a flight ahead of its arrival to facilitate their screening at the airport.
