WHO expert praises local council's efforts to tackle impacts of Hadramout flood

SAYOUN, May 26 (Saba)- An expert of world health organization Jobran Ashor highlighted on Tuesday measures taken by the local authority in Hadramout during the flood which hit the governorate in October of 2008.

The WHO export pointed out to the good cooperation between the local authority
concerned bodies to return normal life to the region such as roads and
telecommunication.

During his meeting, with deputy governor of Hadramout Ahemd al-Janid highlighted
health measures taken during the disaster as that helped to reduce spreading of
epidemics and diseases.

He voiced hope of opening a sub office for the organization in the governorate to
offer its health assistance to the citizens of the region.

Al-Janid appreciated the WHO assistance during the disaster and offered emergency
health services for affected people because of the flooding.

He welcomed hope of the organization to open an office in the governorate as that
would enhance health services and basic care in the society.
