FOURTH INT`L CONFERENCE “SEISMICITY OF AZERBAIJAN AND SEISMIC RISK IN BIG CITIES” KICKS OFF IN BAKU

The 4th international conference entitled “Seismicity of Azerbaijan and seismic risk in big cities” has today started here. The conference was organized by the Center of Seismic Service of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS) bringing together seismologists from the United States, Russia, Bulgaria, Uzbekistan, Greece, Turkey and Georgia.
ANAS vice-president, director of the Institute of Geology Akif Alizade said the conference would focus on seismic events across the world, seismic situation, seismicity in Azerbaijan and other issues.
The event will last until June 3.
