S. Korea confirms 2 more flu cases

SEOUL, June 11 (Yonhap) -- South Korea's health authorities said Thursday that
they have confirmed two additional cases of Influenza A, raising the number of
new flu infections here to 55.

The two are both Korean male students who recently returned from the U.S., the
Ministry for Health, Welfare and Family Affairs said in a statement.
They have been placed under observation at state-designated hospitals for
treatment after showing symptoms of H1N1 virus infection such as fever and
coughing, it added.
Of the country's 55 patients, 46 have been released from hospitals as they showed
no further symptoms.
According to the latest tally by the World Health Organization, 74 countries have
officially reported 27,737 cases of the H1N1 infection, including 141 deaths.
South Korea has reported no deaths.
