S. Korea confirms 3 more flu cases

SEOUL, June 13 (Yonhap) -- South Korea's health authorities said Saturday that
they have confirmed three additional cases of Influenza A, raising the number of
new flu infections here to 59.
The three are a 11-year-old Korean-Australian visiting his relatives here during
his school recess; a 47-old South Korean man who recently returned from Dallas,
Texas; and a 56-year-old Chinese man making a transit for Guangzhou, they said.
The Ministry for Health, Welfare and Family Affairs said in a statement the three
have been placed under observation at state-designated hospitals for treatment
after showing symptoms of H1N1 virus infection such as fever and coughing.
According to the World Health Organization, some 70 countries have reported over
27,700 cases of the H1N1 infection, including about 140 deaths. South Korea has
reported no deaths.
