Yemen, UNPFA talk on realizing millennium goals

SANA'A, June 15 (Saba) - Minister of Public Health and Population
Abdul-Karim Rase'a affirmed on Monday the necessity of activating
the UN Population Fund (UNPFA) activities in Yemen to realize the
millennium goals.

Minister Rase'a and UNPFA Regional Director Hafedh Chekir discussed
in Sana'a the possible means to boost the cooperation areas between
Yemen and the Fund, especially in field of population programs and
projects.

For his part, the UNPFA official voiced the fund's willingness to
assess its work in Yemen and creating more effective ways for
improving the UNFPA-funded population programs and activities.
