Saudi Space Agency, Korea Aerospace Industries Sign MoU on Space Cooperation

Riyadh, October 25, 2023, SPA -- The Saudi Space Agency (SSA) signed here Tuesday a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI). The MoU aims to enhance innovation in the space sector, explore investment opportunities, and promote the growth of space technologies to unlock new frontiers.
The MoU was signed by Dr. Mohammed bin Saud Al-Tamimi, CEO of the SSA, and Kang Goo-Young, KAI president and CEO. It seeks to embrace advancements in the aviation and space sectors in line with the SSA's vision to accelerate progress in space initiatives through cooperation with KAI, a leading company in satellite development and manufacturing.
The cooperation builds on the SSA’s visit to Korea, led by Eng. Abdullah bin Amer Al-Swaha, Minister of Communications and Information Technology and SSA chairman, which affirms both parties’ commitment to enhancing cooperation and knowledge exchange in the field of space exploration, with the aim of contributing to the advancement of the global space industry.
