Cooperation with Boeing on Zarya module going smoothly — Khrunichev Center

CEO Aleksey Varochko added that the Center was repeatedly recognized by Boeing as the top supplier in ISS creation

MOSCOW, November 20. /TASS/. Cooperation between the Khrunichev Center and Boeing in operation of the Zarya module launched to the orbit 25 years ago and being the first one for the International Space Station (ISS) is without any difficulties, CEO of the Russian company Aleksey Varochko said in an interview with TASS.

 

"Cooperation with the Boeing continues during more than 28 years and no difficulties arise in honoring mutual commitments," Varochko said. The Center was repeatedly recognized by Boeing as the top supplier in ISS creation and operation during almost three decades of collaborative efforts, the chief executive added.

 

The ISS is on the orbit for as long as 25 years. Its first module, the Zarya functional cargo block developed by the Khrunichev Center under contract with Boeing, was launched on November 20, 1998.
