Health Minister: no new H1N1 cases founded in Yemen


SANA'A, June 22 (Saba) - No new cases of H1N1 virus were founded in
Yemen so far, Minister of Public Health and Population Abdul-Karim
Rase'a confirmed on Monday.

In his speech in the Annual Consultative Meeting on Level of
Vaccination and Epidemiological Monitoring in all governorate held
in Sana'a, Rase'a said the cabinet has approved the plan of the
Health Ministry for encountering any future possibilities of
infection with this epidemic.

"The Ministry has provided all necessary medical requirements and
equipments, while it is still working on providing extra medicines",
Rase'a added.

He emphasized the necessity of raising the awareness level amid
people via media on the means of protection from Swine Flue virus.

The Health Ministry announced the first confirmed H1N1-infected case
in Yemen on June 16th.

Yemen announced last Wednesday on finding new four cases infected
with Swine Flue.

The new four infections of Swine Flu are among the same group of
students coming back from the United States.

First confirmed case of swine flu recovered, an official in the
Health Ministry reported on last Saturday.

The official expected other four cases would be recovered soon based
on confirmation of the director of health office in Aden.
