10th International Nursing Conference Hosted in Jeddah by KFSH&RC

Riyadh, November 27, 2023, SPA -- The 10th International Nursing Conference started in Jeddah today under the theme "Nurses: Catalysts, Navigators & Innovators in Healthcare", according to a press release from KFSH&RC.
Organized by KFSH&RC, the conference provides a platform for healthcare professionals to exchange insights and experience with the aim of transforming the delivery of healthcare, advancing the nursing profession and enhancing the hospital's global leadership in nursing practices.
This year's conference, the first edition after the COVID-19 pandemic, will be held over the course of three days and includes 14 keynotes, 40 sessions, 10 workshops and 55 presentations.
At today's conference, a significant announcement was made: the Nursing Residency Program at Jeddah's KFSH&RC received the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) accreditation.
"This accreditation distinguishes the hospital as the first and only healthcare institution outside the United States to be recognized with this level of excellence by the ANCC," said the release.
The accredited Nursing Residency Program aims to provide recent nursing graduates with essential knowledge and hands-on experience, to ensure that they are well-prepared to deliver top-tier patient care, and uphold the highest standards of healthcare excellence.
According to the release, KFSH&RC has been inducted into the esteemed "Sigma Theta Tau" International Honor Society of Nursing.
According to the release, "this membership, a first for any non-academic healthcare institution outside the US, underscores the hospital's role as a frontrunner in nursing practices, not just in the Middle East but on the global stage".
Through this membership, KFSH&RC staff gain access to a collection of scientific resources and world-class nursing practices from leading global healthcare institutions, thus elevating the standard of nursing care, advancing healthcare outcomes and enhancing the overall patient experience.
Moreover, the membership allows the hospital to share its expertise and practices in the fields of nursing and healthcare with over 600 healthcare institutions and a network of over 100,000 members worldwide.
"These members are part of an association committed to advancing nursing knowledge, education, learning, and service by fostering communities of practice, education, and research," read the release.
Marking its 20th anniversary, the conference will be delving into key themes for the nursing sector, with particular focus on the essential role of nursing in accomplishing the ambitious goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
The event explores the future of healthcare, specifically examining the transformative impact of technology and innovation on the evolving landscape. Discussions include topics such as sustainability of healthcare services, and strategic insights into nurse recruitment and retention. The conference will also highlight the latest advancements in nursing research and the critical role of evidence-based practices in modern healthcare.
According to the release, KFSH&RC is globally renowned for its specialized healthcare and advanced nursing services. It has received the prestigious Magnet accreditation for the third consecutive time, demonstrating its nursing excellence. This globally recognized gold standard "Magnet", awarded by the ANCC, is reserved for outstanding hospitals that demonstrate exceptional nursing services, high-quality patient care, innovative practices and remarkable medical outcomes. Only about 8% of hospitals worldwide attain this highly selective recognition.
