Stenin Contest to Showcase Winning Entries at the Belgrade Photography Month for the First Time
The opening ceremony will take place on November 30 at 6:00 pm in UK Parobrod (Ustanova kulture Parobrod, Ulica Kapetan-Mišina, 6A)
This is the Stenin Contest’s first visit to Serbia since its launch in 2014. More than fifty series and single images by young photojournalists from Russia, China, Great Britain, Spain, Bosnia & Herzegovina, France, Iran, Argentina, Italy and other countries will be exposed.
Belgrade becomes the fourth stop on the 2023 exhibition competition's road show. The worldwide touring exhibition serves the mission of the contest: to pave the way for young photojournalists to present their work at the international level and to draw public attention to the challenges of photojournalism today. Among the previous exhibition venues of Stenin Contest are the UN headquarters in New York, Xposure International Photography festival in the UAE and the best venues of Moscow, Buenos Aires, Jakarta, Pretoria New Delhi and other cities.
In this occasion, the exhibition will be divided in two parts, both in the same venue. The first part that will open the November 30 will include the winners of the “Sport” and “My Planet” categories, from the December 20 we will show the “Top News” and “Portrait” category works.
Next year the contest celebrates its 10th anniversary. Entries submitting opportunity traditionally opens from December 22 via the official website (http://stenincontest.com). The international jury will begin its work in April, with the shortlist announced in mid-June on the official website.
The Andrei Stenin International Press Photo Contest, organized by Rossiya Segodnya under the patronage of the Commission of the Russian Federation for UNESCO, aims to support young photographers and draw public attention to the challenges of photojournalism today. It is a platform for young photographers – talented and sensitive individuals open to all things new – to highlight people and events near us.

Belgrade Photography Month started in 2016 and is the largest festival of its kind in Serbia. This international festival dedicated to the popularization of photography through educational and artistic programmers. Since 2016, photography lovers have the opportunity to visit various exhibitions of international and domestic authors at more than 20 locations in the city as part of the festival.
