Kalut is a major tourist attraction in Iran’s southeastern province of Kerman. Kaluts are a major part of the Lut desert, an area which has been named the hottest place on earth with temperatures in some of the Kaluts reaching 70 degrees centigrade. Kalut is a collection of hills and mountains that have been formed inside U-shaped canals in the desert. They present some unique and diverse natural attractions.
