Yemen announces new H1N1-infected case



SANA'A, June 23 (Saba) - Ministry of Public Health and Population
announced Tuesday announced the discovery of one more swine flu
case, raising the number of infected cases in Yemen to six.

Director of Epidemiological Monitoring and Combating at the Health
Ministry Abdul Hakim al-Kohlani told Saba that the new case is a
Yemeni girl, aged 11, from Dalei province holding the British
nationality. She arrived in Sana'a on Monday coming from the United
Kingdom.

Al-Kohlani indicated that the case was discovered by the health
cadres working in the Sana'a International Airport, noting that the
necessary medical procedures have been taken.

Health Ministry announced the first confirmed H1N1-infected case in
Yemen on June 16th. Four new more patients of Swine Flue were
announced few days later.

The previous five patients are among the same group of 32 students
coming from training course in the United Sates earlier in the
current June.

First confirmed case of swine flu recovered, al-Kohlani reported
last Saturday.
