AZERBAIJAN, LATVIA SIGN AGREEMENT ON ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION

Baku, June 25 (AzerTAc). Azerbaijan and Latvia have today signed an agreement to boost cooperation on environmental protection.
The document was signed by Azerbaijani Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources Huseyngulu Bagirov and Latvian Minister of Environment Raimonds Vejonis.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Bagirov expressed confidence the agreement would be beneficial for both countries.
“Latvia have big experience in the environmental protection, and we want to benefit from it,” said the Azeri minister.
Earlier in the day, the Latvian minister laid a wreath at the tomb of Azerbaijan`s nationwide leader Heydar Aliyev and his wife, academician Zarifa Aliyeva, and also paid respect to the Azerbaijani martyrs.
