Raisi: Iran ready to convey scientific, technological experiences to Tunisia

Tehran, IRNA – Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi has told his Tunisian counterpart that the Islamic Republic of Iran is ready to convey its experiences to the African country in the field of science and technology.

Raisi made the comment on Saturday as he met Kais Saied on the sidelines of the 7th Summit of the Heads of State of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF) in Algiers, Algeria.

The Iranian president said that the development of ties with Islamic countries is among the priorities of his government, adding that the Islamic Republic is ready to convey its experiences to Tunisia in the field of science and technology.

He also said that Iran is determined to expand its economic relations with Islamic countries especially in north Africa.
Raisi referred to the Palestinian issue as well, saying that Iran and Tunisia share a common view on that issue, which he said paves the way for taking effective steps to help uphold the rights of the Palestinian people.

President Raisi blamed the ongoing situation in Gaza on what he described as “the unjust structure of today’s world”, echoing calls of the Supreme Leader of Iran’s Islamic Revolution that Islamic countries should cut off economic ties with the Israeli regime in an effort to stop its crimes against Palestinians.

The Tunisian president, on his part, said that his country intends to promote its relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Saied also said that Tunisia has no differences with Iran when it comes to their stance on the Palestinian issue.
