Iran appoints two female VAR referees for Tehran derby

Tehran, IRAN – Iran has picked two female referees for the VAR room of Tehran derby, according to the president of the country’s Football Federation.

Mehdi Taj said on Saturday that Mahnaz Zokaei has been selected to accompany Mahsa Qorbani who had earlier been picked as a VAR referee of Tehran derby.  

The 103rd Tehran derby between Perspolis and Esteqlal is scheduled to be held at Azadi Stadium on Wednesday night.
