Foreign Minister Participates in Arab-American Ministerial Meeting on the Situation in Gaza

Cairo, March 22, 2024, SPA -- Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah participated in the Arab-American ministerial meeting held in Cairo, Egypt, on Thursday to address the situation in the Gaza Strip.
The meeting saw the participation of Qatar's Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, Jordan's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi, Egypt's Minister of Foreign Affairs Sameh Shoukry, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, UAE's Minister of State for International Cooperation Reem Al Hashemi, and Secretary General of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization and Minister of Civil Affairs Hussein Al-Sheikh.
Discussions centred around the latest developments concerning the Palestinian cause and the crisis in Gaza and its surrounding areas. The participants discussed achieving a complete ceasefire and implementing United Nations Security Council Resolution 2720.
Furthermore, the meeting emphasized the rejection of any attempts to displace the Palestinian people from their territory as well as any future military operation in the Palestinian city of Rafah.
The participants underscored the need to implement the two-state solution and establish an independent Palestinian state in line with international references.
Also in attendance were the Deputy Head of Saudi Arabia's Mission to the US, Prince Musab bin Mohammed bin Fahd; the Director-General for Arab Affairs in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mahmoud Qattan; Advisor to the Foreign Minister, Mohammed Alyahya and the Advisor at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Manal Radwan.
