This photo shows "sarira," which are the special bodily relics found among a person's bone remains after cremation, at the Jogye Temple in Seoul on April 19, 2024. The relics belonging to renowned monks Naong (1320-1376) and Jigong (?-1363) of the Goryeo Dynasty (918-1392) had been looted by Japanese grave robbers, and were discovered at the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston in 1939. The museum returned them to the Jogye Temple on April 16. (Yonhap)
