Sci-tech Study Beefed up in DPRK

Pyongyang, April 25 (KCNA) -- Industrial establishments across the DPRK are disseminating science and technology.
The Chollima Steel Complex has improved the technical skills of workers through effective dissemination of science and technology and thus solved technical problems arising in the protection of electric power systems and equipment.
Officials and workers of the Kim Chaek Iron and Steel Complex are making strenuous efforts to master the technical characteristics of the Korean-style energy-saving oxygen heat blast furnace, and employees of the Chongjin Steel Plant and the Hyesan Steel Works are taking part in the development of new technology to solve the problems arising in production.
Officials of the Ryongsong Machine Complex acquire wide knowledge and high technology through the sci-tech learning space and play a big part in selecting and training talents who would propel the development of units and in putting production on a normal basis and improving the quality of products.
The Anju Pump Factory and the Kyongsong Electric Appliances Factory have updated the data of the sci-tech learning spaces in good time and improved their operation methods and put efforts into providing the employees with better conditions for study to encourage new inventions.
The Tokchon City Koryo Medicine Pharmaceutical Factory and the Sinyang County Disabled Soldiers' Koryo Medicine Pharmaceutical Factory have made much progress in the work to save the production cost and improve the efficacy of medicines by generalizing the experience of technicians and workers who took the lead in the technical innovation movement and encouraging the spirit of competition and enthusiasm of the masses.
