Birthday of President Kim Il Sung Marked in Russia

 Pyongyang, April 26 (KCNA) -- Such events as meeting, seminar on exploits and photo exhibition were held at the Soviet peace fund of Russia, the Maritime Territorial Branch Committee, the Amur Regional Branch Committee and the Khabarovsk Territorial Branch Committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, the Sevastopol City Committee of the Lenin Young Communist League of the Russian Federation, the Maritime Territorial Branch of the All-Russia War Veterans' Social Organization "Militant Fraternity" and the Far East State Science Library between April 8 and 16 to celebrate the 112th birth anniversary of President Kim Il Sung.
Speeches were made at the events attended by personages of the Russian government, political parties, organizations and institutions and masses.
The chairperson of the Russian Association for Friendship and Cultural Cooperation with the DPRK and the chairman of the General People's Union Party expressed their will to make every effort for the development of the friendly and cooperative relations between the two countries, saying that Comrade Kim Il Sung was a peerlessly great man recognized by the world and a firm foundation of the Russia-DPRK friendly relations was laid by him.
The first secretaries of the Maritime Territorial Branch Committee, the Amur Regional Branch Committee and the Khabarovsk Territorial Branch Committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation praised Kim Il Sung as a great revolutionary, outstanding statesman, peerless politician, benevolent father of the people, eternal President of the DPRK and the greatest man. They said that the DPRK is demonstrating its might as a dignified state in the international arena, adding that this would have been unthinkable without the nation-building exploits of Kim Il Sung and the world people admire at his stand for independence against imperialism.
Figures of the Maritime Territorial Branch of the All-Russia War Veterans' Social Organization "Militant Fraternity" and the Sevastopol City Committee of the Lenin Young Communist League of the Russian Federation said that Kim Il Sung made a great contribution to the Korean revolution with his rare ideas and theory, energetic leadership and ardent patriotism, adding that the Russia-DPRK friendly relations will continue to develop thanks to the firm foundation laid by him.
A congratulatory message to the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un was adopted at the event held by the Soviet peace fund of Russia.
Meanwhile, an event took place in Sochi on April 5 to mark the 112th birth anniversary of Kim Il Sung and the 5th anniversary of Kim Jong Un's historic visit to the Russian Federation. -0-
