KUALA LUMPUR, April 27 (Bernama) – As Malaysia and Libya mark their 50th anniversary in diplomatic relations this year, the two nations are looking forward to further strengthening collaboration and enhancing their relationship.

According to the Deputy Foreign Affairs Minister’s Office, Malaysia and Libya have maintained a robust relationship, underpinned by mutual respect and appreciation, since the early 1970s.

“Ties encompass various sectors, particularly economic cooperation, cultural exchanges, and special linkages in education, with over 7,000 Libyan students having graduated from Malaysia’s higher education institutes.

“As Malaysia and Libya celebrate their mutually beneficial ties, both past and present, the two countries also look forward to an even stronger relationship and commemoration of further milestones in the future,” it said.

To commemorate the 50th Anniversary of diplomatic relations between Malaysia and Libya, the Libyan Embassy hosted a reception at a hotel in Kuala Lumpur on Thursday, celebrating the enduring friendship between the two countries.
