Symposium in Field of Land and Environment Protection Held

Pyongyang, May 4 (KCNA) -- The 2024 spring symposium on aesthetics in the field of land and environment protection took place at the Sci-Tech Complex here on Friday through video conferencing.
Present at the symposium held on the theme of "River landscape and aesthetics" were Kim Kyong Jun, minister of Land and Environment Protection, officials and scientists in relevant fields, including land and environment protection, design, industrial art and science and education.
A video on the successes made in river improvement was shown at the symposium to be followed by speeches.
Speakers said that the state crisis management system for coping with natural disasters has been orderly established under the wise guidance of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un and the work for preventing flood damage is being pushed forward with in all provinces, cities and counties.
They called for introducing the three-dimensional designing method into river improvement and carrying out the project as specified in designs to ensure the durability of facilities, improve the ecological environment and create river landscape in a scientific way. -0-
