New Coal Mine and Pit Construction Accelerated in DPRK

Pyongyang, May 13 (KCNA) -- The coal industrial sector of the DPRK is pushing ahead with the construction of new coal mines and pits with good productive prospects.
The Ministry of Coal Industry has made a study of the construction in line with a stepwise goal for developing new coal mines and pits and has taken steps to timely supply cement, pit prop and other materials.
The Kaechon Area Coal Mining Complex has conducted information and motivation work in various forms and by various methods to impress its employees with the significance and importance of the new coal mine construction, thus increasing their enthusiasm. It worked out a realistic plan and pushes ahead with its implementation.
Officials and workers of the Kyongwon Area Coal Mining Complex are making collective innovations in the construction of new coal mines and pits.
The Myongchon Area Coal Mining Complex is also managing equipment and improving technical control in a responsible manner and putting spur to constructing new coal mines and pits while directing efforts to ensuring the working and living conditions of coal miners. -0-
