5% obstetric health services in 2011, says UNICEF

SANA'A, July 28 (Saba) - A
statistical report issued by the UNICEF revealed that Yemen will able to treat 75%
from birth
complications cases and 50 % from obstetric care cases in emergency cases in 2011,
the state-run al-Thawrahnews.net reported.

The cases will be treated by Yemeni cadres as well as adopting a strategy on
mothers and newborns.
The World Health Organization (WHO) has declared Yemen a polio-free county and
reduced cases of measles to less than 20 cases per a year besides increasing health
services
of women and children to 40% in 2008.
Noteworthy, birth rate in Yemen reaches 39.2 for 1000 population.
