KURBAN AIT IS CELEBRATED IN OLGII
Ulaanbaatar, /MONTSAME/ The celebration of "Kurban Ait" is being marked from November 27 by Muslims (Kazakhs) in Mongolia. All Muslims have banquet for poor people for charity purpose during this event that is celebrated dedicated to tribute of Allah--the Great Owner of the World for Muslims.
Some rich Muslims arrived in Olgii, central city of Bayan-Olgii province, from Turkey, Austria and Germany with aims to present gifts to people and strengthen the community of the religion. They said they arrived to represent Muslims in Austria and Germany, and congratulated to Mongolia's Muslims on the Kurban Ait celebration.
"We intend to make a wide introduction to the celebration of Kurban Ait in Mongolia and its religious formalities. We are ready to receive an opinion or a request from Mongolia's Muslims," said Osman Altan and Ismail Yavuz, the guests, and vowed to arrive again in Mongolia. By a preliminary report, more than 10 thousand sheep were used for food during the celebration.
On the occasion of the Kurban celebration, the Union of Muslims of Mongolia headed by the Hajj M.Azathan opened the repaired first mosque in Olgii city (Prayer Palace for Muslims or the Mechid). The Mechid was established in 1944 at an initiative of Yanjmaa, spouse of Mongolian outstanding state figure and military leader D.Sukhbaatar.
