S.BATBOLD MEETS GERMAN AMBASSADOR

Ulaanbaatar, /MONTSAME/ The Prime Minister S.Batbold received Tuesday Pius Fischer, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Germany (FRG) and Doyen of the Diplomatic Corpus in Mongolia.
The Premier said Germany is one of the biggest European partners of Mongolia and expressed a satisfaction with the successful development of the bilateral relations. He underlined an importance of realizing works discussed during an official visit of S.Bayar, the former Prime Minister, to Germany in March of 2009.
The Premier mentioned about the 20th anniversary of democratic revolution in Mongolia to be celebrated in 2010. Mr Batbold thanked the German side for supporting Mongolia's reform, and requested the Ambassador to pay an attention to involving the diplomatic corpus in Mongolia in this anniversary events. Mr Batold expressed a hope that Mrs Angela Merkel, the Federal Chancellor of Germany, will visit Mongolia in the next year, and wished Mr Fischer a success at works.
The Doyen congratulated Mr Batbold on becoming a Prime Minister, thanked for the audience and wished him to gain successes.
Mr Fischer said Germany always appreciates Mongolia for choosing the democratic way, and thanked for the invitation to the anniversary. He mentioned that Mrs Merkel said in interview that she has a dream to visit Mongolia. He promised to convey the Premier's request to the Chancellor.
"Consultative meeting of Mongolia-Germany development policy held December 2-3 in Ulaanbaatar will discuss projects and programs to be realized by Germany's government in 2011," said Mr Fischer, and expressed his satisfaction with implementing the development policy cooperation in accordance with the main directions as development of private and small and middle-sized production, and collaboration in environment and climate issues. He is satisfied with a progress in the military cooperation as well, he added.
