CABINET MEETING IN BRIEF
Ulaanbaatar, /MONTSAME/ The cabinet discussed Wednesday at its regular meeting a draft amendment to the law on the Armed Forces of Mongolia, initiated by S.Batbold and R.Amarjargal MPs. It was decided to convey to them opinions that the bill is backed in principle.
A draft law on limited casino, initiated by D.Zagdjav, Z.Altai, B.Batbayar, G.Bayarsaikhan, R.Bud, D.Batbayar, Kh.Jekei, D.Khayankhyarvaa, Ts.Tsengel and J.Enkhbayar MPs, was considered as not satisfying all legal requirements on working out and submitting draft laws and draft decisions of parliament. Thus, the cabinet decided to convey to the initiators a demand to re-draw up the draft.
In accordance with the cabinet decision, an additional resolution will be issued about placing the Department of Service for Foreign Citizens and Naturalization and custody house for foreign citizens as the first in the list of special objects that are protected by the police and domestic military forces.
The cabinet considered a draft amendment to the law on the budget of 2009 for the social insurance fund and backed it in principle. The draft will reflect views of the Ministers and will be submitted to parliament.
Pursuant to the governmental decision, money of MNT 233 million and 668 thousand will be allotted from the budgetary package of Finance Minister for additional expenses of rescuers and medical doctors who have worked at emergency times.
The cabinet decided to issue a resolution to mark the 20th anniversary of development of the democratic movement in Mongolia in December 10, 2009.
