OVER 55.000 TOURISTS VISIT LUANG NAMTHA
Laos, June 5 (KPL) - A northern province of Luang Namtha has received more than 55,000 local and foreign tourists, during the first six month of this year.
During the past few years, Luang Namtha authorities have paid their attention to the development of tourism to earn income to the province, especially to support its socio-economic development, said on Tuesday Deputy Head of Tourism Service of Luang Namtha, Mr Sengchanh Paseuthsak.
These visitors have generated almost 10 billion kip for the province, said Mr. Sengchanh.
Luang Namtha now has more than 60 tourist sites to attract both domestic and foreign tourists. These include 31 natural tourist sites, 11 cultural tourist sites and 20 historical tourist sites.
