Inflation continues steady decline in Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi, Dec 15, 2009 (WAM) - Statistics Centre- Abu Dhabi (SCAD) has issued its report on Consumer Prices Index (CPI) and inflation rate in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi for the month of November. The report shows a steady drop in the emirate's monthly rate of inflation over the past 11 months of the current year to a record low of 0.85 percent, compared with 14.69 percent during the same period in 2008. The decline in inflation led to a drop in the prices of the major commodity groups which have a combined relative weight of 47.36 percent of the consumer basket in Abu Dhabi.
