Al Ahli SC Chairman Highlights Difficult HH the Amir Cup 2023 Draw

 

 

Doha, February 22 (QNA) - Al Ahli SC Chairman Abdullah Al Mulla said that the draw for HH the Amir Cup, held today, put Al Ahly on a difficult path to win Qatari football's most precious title. 

Speaking to Qatar News Agency (QNA), he said that the draw saw big teams like Al Ahli, Al Rayyan, Al Arabi, and Al Duhail vie for a place in the final. He said those four teams have 22 HH the Amir title, and as a result competition between them will be very strong. 

On his club's ambitions, he said that Al Ahli is looking to reclaim the title. He added that the team will use league matches as preparation for the cup. He warned that cup games tend to see surprises, so the team must be careful when they meet Muaither in the last-16. He concluded his remarks by expressing his hope that the team can give a good account of themselves in this year's competition. (QNA)
