Al Attiyah Maintains Lead At Desafio Rally

Buenos Aires, August 29 (QNA) - Qatari driver Nasser Al Attiyah maintained the lead in the overall standings of the Argentine Rally Desafio Ruta 40, which constitutes the fourth and penultimate round of the World Long Desert Rally Championship for the 2023 season organized by the International Automobile Federation, after coming second in the second stage. Al Attiyah, accompanied by his French navigator, Mathieu Baumel, aboard a Toyota Hilux, completed the second stage between the cities of La Rioja and Belen, with a total distance of 459 km, of which 339 km are subject to timing, and 120 km are stages of arrival, in a time of 3.45.54 hours. The Qatari driver finished second, 10.42 minutes behind Argentine driver Juan Cruz Yacobini, accompanied by his Spanish navigator Daniel Oliveras, who won first place with a time of 3.35.12 hours.
