Al-Budaiwi Calls for Immediate International Community Intervention to Stop Brutal Targeting of Defenseless Civilians in Gaza

Riyadh, October 14, 2023, SPA -- Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Jassim Mohammed Al-Budaiwi stressed the need for urgent and immediate international community intervention to secure a ceasefire, put an end to all forms of military escalation against civilians, and avoid a humanitarian catastrophe in the Palestinian territories.
With reference to the recent Israeli-Palestinian escalation in Gaza Strip, he underscored the importance of concerted international efforts to stop the collective punishment exercised by the Israeli occupation forces, which deprives the people of Gaza of basic living requirements, is considered a flagrant violation of international and humanitarian law, and further aggravates the situation in the Middle East region.
Al-Budaiwi renewed his call to find a political solution to enable the Palestinian people to exercise their legitimate right to establish a state within the 1967 borders, with East Al-Quds as its capital.
