Al-Hakim Meets The Sheikh Of Al-Azhar And Stresses The Necessity Of Bringing Visions Closer Between Islamic Sects

Baghdad / NINA / - The head of the National Wisdom Movement, Ammar al-Hakim, met today, Monday, the Sheikh of Al-Azhar, Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, and discussed with him the serious steps that must be taken to bring visions closer between Islamic sects.

Al-Hakim renewed, according to a statement by his office, the conversation about the importance of fraternal coexistence between the two wings of the nation and the need for each party to accept the other and to move away from what disturbs the spirit of unity and brotherhood that our noble Islamic religion brought.

He explained the positive developments in the Iraqi arena, referring to the efforts made by the Iraqi government to accelerate the pace of reconstruction and provide appropriate services to our honorable people, stressing his full keenness to develop and strengthen the trust and relationship between Iraq and Egypt, in a way that guarantees high coordination in various regional and international files.

The head of the National Wisdom Movement affirmed: "Our religion accommodates us, and that attempts to divide ranks and stoke strife will not bring any good to our Islamic nation," recalling that the international changes taking place at this time require us, as Muslims, to choose the appropriate place for our Islamic nation on the map of events.

He continued: "Opportunities are born from the womb of challenges, and our nation is able to restore its dignity and elevation through the solidarity of its sons and their compassion among themselves and their agreement on the correct foundations that our true Islamic religion came with, and that the basis is to follow the morals of our noble Messenger Muhammad, "may God bless him and his family and grant him peace." ./ End
